Lake Success,
New York, February 6, 2002... Park
Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE
- PKE) announced that its N4000-7 FR-4 dielectric substrate
system is now available in North America with manufacturing of Park's
N4000-7 series of laminate and prepreg materials at Park's Nelco
business units in California and New York.
The N4000-7 materials have previously been available only through
Park's Nelco Products Pte. Ltd. business unit in Singapore.
The N4000-7
series of laminate and prepreg materials is designed to bridge the
gap between existing high-Tg materials and the printed circuit board
manufacturers' need for a conductive anodic filament ("CAF")
resistant, dimensionally stable material that is more cost-effective
and easier to process. Park's N4000-7 materials are designed for
use in a broad-range of printed circuit board applications requiring
low Z-axis expansion, excellent thermal stability and superior hole-wall
integrity. Current applications for N4000-7 include high-layer count
backplanes and high-density interconnect structures. Park also offers
its SI option for its N4000-7 material, which provides enhanced
electrical properties, allowing N4000-7 to be specified for certain
high-speed, mission-critical telecommunications applications.
Certain portions
of this news release may be deemed to constitute forward looking
statements that are subject to various factors which could cause
actual results to differ materially from Park's expectations. Such
factors include, but are not limited to, general conditions in the
electronics industry, Park's competitive position, the status of

Future Results" after Item 7 of Park's Annual Report on Form
10-K for the fiscal year ended February 25, 2001.
