LAKE SUCCESS, New York, April 18, 2000…Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) today announced the appointment of James B. Stewart as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Stewart's new responsibility will include coordinating the negotiation of agreements for global accounts and other activities related to global customers. Mr. Stewart will continue to report to Emily J. Groehl, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Company.

Mr. Stewart joined the Company in 1990 as the West Coast Director of Sales and served in that capacity until 1994, at which time he became the North American Director of Sales. Prior to joining the Company in 1990, Mr. Stewart served as Operations Manager at Diceon Electronics' Chatsworth, California division and later as Account Manager for Polyclad Laminates. Mr. Stewart received a Bachelor of Economics degree at Oklahoma State University in 1966.
