New York, July 19, 2001.....Park
Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE
- PKE) today announced the election of John Jongebloed as Senior
Vice President, Global Logistics for the Company. Mr. Jongebloed
will continue to serve as President of New England Laminates Co.,
Inc. ("Nelco New York"),
Park's high technology volume printed circuit material business
unit located in Newburgh, New York. Mr. Jongebloed has served as
Vice President of Global Logistics for the Company since April,
2000. In his capacity as Senior Vice President, Global Logistics,
Mr. Jongebloed is responsible for leading the global logistics function
for the Company's business throughout North America, Europe and
Asia. The Company's materials and information technology functions
have been incorporated into the global logistics function and, as
a result, Mr. Jongebloed will also lead the Company's worldwide
materials and information technology functions.

John
Jongebloed originally joined the Company in 1989 as the Controller
of Nelco New York, and served in that capacity until 1991,
at which time he became a Director of Operations for Nelco
New York. Mr. Jongebloed served in that capacity until 1992,
at which time he was elected as Vice President and General
Manager of Nelco New York. In May, 1999, Mr. Jongebloed was
elected as the President of Nelco New York and continues to
serve in that capacity. As previously stated, Mr. Jongebloed
was also appointed as Vice President of Global Logistics in
April, 2000. Prior to joining the Company in 1989, Mr. Jongebloed
served as Division Controller of Materials Research Corp.
located in Orangeburg, New York. Mr. Jongebloed received a
bachelor's degree in accounting from Iona College in 1978.
