Lake Success, NY, November 10, 2000… Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) announced the appointment of Mr. Brian Gibson as Operations Director of Nelco/Dielektra - UK. Brian joins Nelco/Dielektra from Varta Ltd. in Somerset, UK where he was Manufacturing Director since 1995. Varta is a manufacturer of rechargeable and primary batteries. He was employed at Varta for 16 years in various quality, technical and manufacturing positions. Brian received his Degree in Synthetic Chemistry and Animal Physiology from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.

Brian is replacing Ron Brett, who also joined Nelco from Varta (Singapore), and has moved on to Nelco/Dielektra - Germany. Brian will report to Clive Hepplestone, Vice President and Managing Director of Nelco/Dielektra. Brian brings a wealth of experience in a number of areas that should prove very beneficial in the development of Nelco/Dielektra, both in the UK and in Europe.
