(516) 354-4100PARK ELECTROCHEMICAL ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN MANUFACTURING OF ITS N4000-7 CAF RESISTANT FR-4 EPOXY MATERIALS
LAKE SUCCESS, New York, July 16, 2003 Park Electrochemical Corp. (NYSE-PKE) announced that in order to meet growing customer demand, its N4000-7 FR-4 dielectric substrate system is now available in Europe with manufacturing at Parks Nelco business units in Cologne, Germany and Mirebeau, France. The N4000-7 will be offered as prepreg, conventional laminate or in Parks proprietary Datlam continuous lamination format. The N4000-7 materials have previously been available only through Parks Nelco business units in Singapore and North America.
The N4000-7 series of laminate and prepreg materials has been designed as a conductive anodic filament (CAF) resistant, dimensionally stable material that is more cost-effective and easier to process than existing high-Tg materials. Parks N4000-7 materials are designed for consistent performance in a broad-range of printed circuit board applications requiring low Z-axis expansion, excellent thermal stability, outstanding hole-filling capability and superior hole-wall integrity. Key applications for N4000-7 in Europe include cellular telephone handsets and automotive technologies. Park also offers its SI option for its N4000-7 material, which provides enhanced electrical properties, allowing N4000-7 to be specified for certain high-speed, mission-critical telecommunications applications.
